I help businesses create order from complexity, and I enjoy the untangling.

This page gives an overview of the work I have done and the experience behind it. My full resume, including employment history and dates, is available to download.

Professional summary.

For more than 25 years I have worked where business, operations and technology meet, across technology, gaming, climate tech, environmental services, property, retail and professional services. My experience grew from operations and project coordination into business analysis, systems implementation and data, with each stage building on the one before. I am curious, resourceful and comfortable with change, and I work well with autonomy and across dispersed teams.

I am drawn to complex environments where clarity, structure and visibility are missing. My work spans business analysis, systems implementation, process improvement and data-driven reporting, and I translate between operational teams, leadership, vendors and developers. I take ownership beyond the analysis stage, staying involved through implementation and adoption.

Most importantly, I build the kind of trust that means people tell me what is really going on.

Selected experience.

A selection of the projects, challenges and responsibilities that have shaped my experience across business, operations and technology.

Business analysis, requirements and stakeholder engagement

Finding out how work really happens, then turning it into requirements people can build from.

  • Led business analysis sessions with operational teams in India and the Czech Republic for a global climate technology company. The sessions separated genuine requirements from workarounds inherited from legacy platforms, and the workflows were redesigned around the underlying need.
  • Wrote the system specification the development team used as its build reference for a proprietary SaaS platform. It covered the data model, field ownership across connected systems, workflow logic and how records moved from CRM into the operational pipeline.
  • Translated workflows into functional requirements, user stories and Jira tickets. I worked with developers and senior management on priorities and delivery order within Agile sprints, and supported testing and UAT against the agreed requirements.

Business systems evaluation, consolidation and implementation

Helping a business choose the right platform, then making it work for the people using it.

  • Contributed to vendor assessment, feasibility and gap analysis for an IT services business consolidating five separate tools into one platform. I also co-built, with the Senior Project Manager, the business case that secured leadership sign-off.
  • Took ownership of the implementation that followed: gathering requirements, designing and building the workflows, automations, integrations and dashboards, and training teams through to full adoption. I upskilled independently to SME level in monday.com and stayed on as first point of contact for changes and governance.
  • Identified that a SaaS agreement no longer matched actual usage, raised it with leadership and initiated vendor conversations. This contributed to a renegotiated agreement and a significant cost reduction.

Process improvement and workflow automation

Replacing fragile, manual ways of working with something more structured and dependable.

  • Worked alongside a Senior Project Manager to redesign operational workflows that relied on fragmented spreadsheets and legacy tools. This included replacing a manual metrics process with a platform-native design connected to dashboard reporting.
  • Co-designed and built a multi-board monday.com architecture centred on a high-level pipeline, giving leadership visibility across status, priority and scheduling. I also co-built a Make.com integration that kept CRM and work management data flowing while reducing the number of users who needed CRM licences.
  • Resolved a live automation outage caused by a deactivated staff account. I investigated the cause, backfilled and reconciled the missed data, and rebuilt the automations on a dedicated service account to prevent it happening again.

Data migration, validation, analytics and reporting

Getting data into a state people can trust, then into reporting they can use.

  • Managed end-to-end data migration from multiple legacy systems into a new platform: cleansing, transforming, mapping and reconciling the data, with full integrity validation before go-live. I applied the same approach to a separate client data consolidation project.
  • Built Power BI data models and used Power Query to combine and transform data from several sources into executive and operational reporting.
  • Quality-assured incident data before it reached the BI team for executive reporting. During a later platform governance review, I raised data held outside the system of record as an integrity risk, and it became a guiding principle for the wider transition.

Project coordination, delivery support and operational planning

Keeping people, plans, budgets and vendors moving in the same direction.

  • Planned and tracked a platform implementation through build, UAT, go-live and adoption, maintaining the delivery documentation and acting as the bridge between vendors and the business.
  • Provided on-site project management at a large client through a systems integrator. This covered reporting, budgeting, forecasting, risk tracking, stakeholder communication, billing, and coordination across project teams and external stakeholders.
  • Led operational planning, scheduling and resource coordination across environmental operations teams, allocating people, equipment and physical resources. I stepped into broader operational leadership during a period of significant staffing challenges.

Incident management, root cause analysis and continuous improvement

Understanding why something went wrong, and following through until it is less likely to happen again.

  • Facilitated post-incident reviews of high-severity incidents for a global gaming technology business. I investigated root causes with technical teams, agreed preventative actions and followed them up until they were implemented.
  • Worked within the cross-functional team that built an internal application to capture, analyse and report on high-severity incidents. I drove the requirements process and acted as liaison between NOC engineers, developers, BI analysts and executive stakeholders. The application gave the business its first reliable picture of uptime, downtime and resolution data.
  • Supported ISO compliance audits, OKR tracking, process documentation and continuous improvement. I also acted as business domain consultant on data classification and risk for the operations centre’s applications and databases.

Where the foundations were built.

My career did not begin in consulting. It began in help desk, coordination and administration roles in the UK, and continued through property, retail product approvals, a veterinary practice, and project administration and operational planning in South Africa.

Those roles taught me how organisations run day to day. I supported project teams with proposals, budgets and schedules, and kept people, equipment and resources allocated across multiple sites. I also prepared tenders, managed invoicing, and looked after the IT everyone else relied on.

They built the foundations in stakeholder management, customer service, project coordination, operational planning and business administration that still underpin my work today.

They are also a large part of why I pay as much attention to the people doing the work as to the systems they use.

Technology & platforms.

Data & Reporting
Power BI, Power Query, Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake, Excel (Advanced)
Platforms & Automation
monday.com, Make (Integromat), Supabase, low-code and no-code workflow automation, API-based integrations between business systems
Delivery & Collaboration

Claude and Claude Code, ChatGPT, MCP connectors, Git and GitHub

AI tools are part of how I work rather than a separate service. I have used Claude and Claude Code to understand an unfamiliar codebase, check implementation against requirements and contribute front-end features, such as filtering and saved views, through the team’s normal pull-request review and automated testing.
